Research Development

The CIC's research activities are structured around 4 main areas that combine clinical and fundamental research, with Infectious Diseases being the main focus.

Training and teaching

Training in clinical research, in partnership with the Faculties of Medicine and Pharmacy of Limoges.

Publication and dissemination of research

In collaboration with the teams linked to the CIC

Objectives

To promote clinical research development related to the areas of excellence of the Limoges University Hospital (CIC), on a regional (ARCH) and European (Increase) scale

Translational research

To develop research activities at the crossing of the Inserm and CNRS-labelled units for fundamental research and clinical units of the University Hospital.

Support for research

Logistical support for complex multi-centre therapeutic clinical trials and clinical epidemiological research (cohorts).

Scientific focus

The CIC is associated with the 3 labelled research teams of the University Hospital and centred its development on the areas of Infectious Diseases, Pharmacology, Immunology and Haematology, and Ultrasounds, with a common focus on Sepsis.

Industrial partnerships

These partnerships aim to bring together industry and academia in the development and transfer of new technologies that enhance biomedical research.
